Box Score Quincy, Ill. - The Quincy University women's basketball team played their final game before their conference road slate on Tuesday morning (Nov. 26) against Hannibal-LaGrange University. The Hawks won 99-43 in a Pepsi Arena full of young basketball stars celebrating Kids' Day.
The Hawks shot 53 percent from the field today, a season high for Quincy. The Trojans scored the first basket and gave the Hawks a little scare in the first quarter with a six-point jump at the start. Quincy, however, found their groove shortly after and put up 26 points in the first ten.

Gwen O'Connell onto the court in the second quarter and within three seconds of her Quincy debut, O'Connell sank a three-point shot from the corner.
Kealani Neves made her return to the court this morning, and after a steal and lob from teammate
Janiece Dawson, Neves scored her first three-point shot of the season. The Hawks finished the half up by 43 points after going seven for ten from the key in the second quarter.
The Hawks re-entered the court with their starters and brought the gap between teams to 48 points in the third quarter despite the Trojans forcing the Hawks into some tough three-point shots. The game ended in exciting pursuit as Neves drove the ball up court with a lay-up as the buzzer sounded to put the Hawks over 100 points in the game, but after video review, the officials deemed the shot occurred after the game concluded.
Katrina Stack made her debut as a Hawk this morning with six points, five rebounds, and one each of assists, blocks, and steals.
Taylor Haase led the Hawks with 17 points and two rebounds while
Mariann Blass and
Nicole McDermott followed her with 14 and 13 points alike. McDermott facilitated well for the Hawks against the Trojans, assisting seven baskets in the game.
Ashlynn Arnsman led the Hawks with eight rebounds in addition to her eight points.
The Hawks begin conference play on Monday evening in Fayette, Iowa, as they face the Upper Iowa University Peacocks.
