QUINCY, Ill.- The Quincy University Women's Lacrosse team hosted Rockhurst University for a GLVC match up on Saturday (April 8th) at The Rock. The Hawks would lose a close one 12-8. 

Quincy University would start the scoring off early in this one as Patricia Chavira would find the back of the net 90 seconds into the game for her first goal of the day giving QU an early 1-0 lead. Rockhurst University would score three unanswered goals to take the lead but Patricia Chavira would score her second goal of the game with one minute remaining in the first quarter to cut the deficit to 3-2. 

Rockhurst University's defense would hold Quincy University scoreless in the second quarter while their offense would score five goals to open the game up to 8-2 heading into halftime. 

Looking to make a comeback in this game Patricia Chavira would score her third and fourth goal of the game to start off the third quarter followed by Bianca Johnson adding a goal of her own to cut the deficit to 8-5.

QU would score three more goals in the fourth quarter as Ainslie Reynolds, Kara Wilhelm, and Josie Szmanda all would find the back of the net. But the Rockhurst offense would be too much for Quincy as they end up losing a close one 12-8. 

Quincy University will be back in action on Friday (April 14th) as they host McKendree University for another GLVC match up at The Rock. Game is set to start at 7:00 PM.
