Indianapolis, Ind. – The Quincy University women's lacrosse team began their last travel weekend with a 15-3 loss against #6 University of Indianapolis on Friday (Apr. 21).
The Greyhounds stunned the Hawks with two quick goals at the start of the first quarter. Quincy worked hard to get on the board, causing half of UIndy's turnovers in the quarter and picking up just as many ground balls, but the Hawks couldn't get the ball in the back of the net.
Patricia Chavira broke the silence for Quincy with an unassisted goal in the second quarter. The final 15 minutes of the game gave the Hawks four free position opportunities, with
Danielle Robinson and
Patricia Chavira scoring each of their free position shots.
Kelly McClure got the start in goal for the Hawks this evening and made 6 saves.
The Hawks will finish their road trip in Romeoville, Illinois, this Sunday (April 23) against the Lewis Flyers. The game will begin at 12 p.m.
