ST. JOSEPH, Mo.- The Quincy University Women's Lacrosse team was on the road Saturday (April 1st) for a game against Missouri Western State University. The Hawks would lose the game 11-6. 

The Hawks defense would struggle early on as they allowed five first quarter goals, giving the Griffons a 5-0 lead heading into the second quarter. Danielle Robinson would break the seal in the second quarter when she found the back of the net at the 8:19 minute mark to get QU on the board. But Quincy could not cut the deficit more as the game would go into halftime with the Griffons leading 8-1. 

Danielle Robinson would score the first goal of the second half at the 10:25 minute mark and cut the deficit to 8-2, but the Griffons would respond back with back to back goals of their own. Patricia Chavira would score her first goal of the day with seven seconds left in the third quarter making it a 10-3 game heading into the fourth quarter.

Quincy would out score the Griffons in the fourth quarter 3-1 with goals from Kara Wilhelm and Danielle Robinson, her third and fourth of the game. But this would not be enough as the Hawks lose this one 11-6. 

Quincy University will be back at home on Monday (April 3rd) as they host Ottawa University at The Rock. Game is set to start at 5:00 pm.
