Hawks Offense Explode in 20-2 Win

BUCKHANNON, W. Va.- The Quincy Women's Lacrosse team was down in West Virginia on Saturday (March 25th) as they played against West Virginia Wesleyan University. The Hawks offense would explode for 20 goals as they would win the game 20-2. 


The Hawks wasted no time scoring the first goal of the game as Bianca Johnson found the back of the net at the 13:27 minute mark. Amelia Ham would score her first goal of the day 40 seconds later making it a 2-0 game. 15 seconds later Danielle Robinson would also find the back of the net and score her first goal of the day. Sarah Conroy would join the scoring with a goal of her own. Danielle Robinson would score three more goals before the end of the first quarter making it 8-0 Hawks. 

Quincy University's offense would not slow down in the second quarter as Bianca Johnson would score her second and third goal of the day. Danielle Robinson would also add on to her goal total as she would score her fifth goal of the day. Bryn Allen would add a goal of her own before the end of the quarter as the Hawks would take a 12-0 lead into half. 

QU would keep their foot on the gas pedal in the third quarter as Ainslie Robinson would add a goal to the Hawks lead making it 13-0. Darby Moore would join the scoring as she would score her first career goal at the 6:56 minute mark in the third quarter. Danielle Robinson would add two more goals before the end of the third quarter making it seven total goals for her. 

It would be more of the same in the fourth and final quarter of the game as Kara Wilhem would score her first goal of the season making it 17-0. Darby Moore and Amelia Ham would both score their second goals on the day. Jaynie Chatman would score her first career goal to end the scoring for Quincy and give them a 20-2 win. 

Quincy will end their road stretch tomorrow, Sunday (March 26) as they head to Charleston, West Virginia to play against University of Charleston for an early start at 9:00 am.
