KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Looking to secure the program's first winning season since the 2016-17 season, the Hawks were on the road at Rockhurst University on Saturday (February 25th) afternoon. QU would come up on the losing end by the score of 69-63.
Four Hawks reached double figures in the close loss, led by Malik Hardmon who registered a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Jamaurie Coakley also registered double figures with 14 points on 4 of 7 from the field. Zion Richardson and Solomon Gustafson rounded out the Hawk contingent in double figures with 13 and 10 apiece.
For the game, QU shot 18 of 59 from the field for 30.5%. They also shot 16.7% from beyond the arc and 77.4% (24 of 31) from the charity stripe.
QU will now have to wait and see where they end the regular season in the league's Point Rating System in order to qualify for the GLVC tournament.
