QUINCY, Ill. – Coming off of a series win at the University of Tampa last weekend (Feb. 10-12), the Quincy University baseball team jumped up three spots to 17
th in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.
The midweek contest on Tuesday, February 14
th vs the Lions of Saint Leo University was not included in this week's poll.
The Hawks will wrap up their season opening Florida swing with a three game series against the Rollins College Tars. The Tars will enter the series with a record of 2-2. They have lost their last two to the University of West Florida and have fallen out of the NCBWA poll after beginning the year ranked 10
th.
Scouting the Tars
The Tars have 4 guys hitting over .350 on the young season, with Kyle Bullock leading the way. He is batting .556 (5 for 9) with a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Jeslyn Whitehead is also over the .500 mark with a .533 average.
