Women's Soccer Falls on Late Goal to McKendree

QUINCY, ILL. - The Women's Soccer team opened homecoming weekend hosting nationally ranked McKendree University on Friday (September 23). The Bearcats won the match on a late goal 2-1.

The Hawks drew a foul in the penalty area that resulted in a penalty kick. Lexi Porchia capitalized on the opportunity in the 17th minute slotting the ball in the upper right corner of the net. 

The Bearcats evened the score in the 29th minute off of a corner kick. With time winding down in the match, McKendree took the lead on a ball that bounced around in the box and eventually the back of the net.
