Hawks Strike Early, But Lead Slips Away

QUINCY, ILL. – The Quincy University Men's Soccer played host to the Missouri S&T Miners on Monday, September 19. The Hawks Miners played to a 3-3 draw in GLVC play.

The Hawks got the scoring started early as George Ashby found Kamou Harris on the service into the box for Harris's second goal of the season. In the 29th minute of action, Ben Scotford found Bobby Nikolopoulos at the back post for the diving header.

The Miners cut the lead in half late in the 1st half. Quincy regained their two goal lead in the 58th minute as Harris found Marcel Kasper.

Missouri S&T got goals in the 66th and 71st minutes to earn the 3-3 draw.

The Hawks will remain home for their next game on Friday, September 23rd as they host McKendree University at 7:30 p.m.
