Hammond,Ind.- The Quincy University Men's Soccer team took to the road on Wednesday afternoon (August 31) with a trip to Hammond, Indiana to take on the Pride of Purdue University Northwest. The Hawks played PNW to a 1-1 draw.
 
The contest was scoreless for the first 25 minutes until the Pride were able to notch the first score of the game to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break. QU took just one shot in the final 45 minutes of play but it was a good one from senior Alex Lehmann who found the back of the net in the 52nd minute to score the equalizing goal.
 
The Hawks were outshot by the Pride 14-4. Quincy keeper David Fitzgerald made eight saves in the game to keep the draw intact.
 
Macker Little, Kamou Harris and Jake Ellis all registered shots in the game.
 
QU will host Upper Iowa University on Sunday, September 4th for a 2:00 PM contest.
