Quincy, Ill. - The Quincy University Men's Soccer team hosted Northern Michigan University on Sunday (August 28) for their home opener. The team fought hard for the 2-2 draw.
After an evenly matched first half, it was a scoreless game. In the 49th minute,
Kamou Harris got behind the Wildcats defense for his first goal of the season.
The Wildcats tied the match on a corner to the back post by Tomasso Lami who found the head of Baruc Delgado. Just 10 minutes later, NMU took the 2-1 lead on a shot from outside the box by Keegan Schmidt.
The Hawk tied it back up in the 86th minute on a corner by
George Ashby to
Ben Whitmore for his first of the season.
The Hawks will travel to Purdue Northwest on Wednesday, August 31st for a 2:00 p.m kickoff.
