Kenosha, Wis. – The Quincy University Men's Soccer team kicked off their regular season on Thursday (August 25) with a road trip to Kenosha, Wisconsin as they matched against the Wisconsin – Parkside Rangers. Parkside came out victorious by the score of 1-0.
Two minutes into the match, the Hawks fouled Parkside. Marcos Calderon Jimenez converted on the opportunity for the Rangers to make it 1-0 Parkside.
The Rangers outshot the Hawks 19-3, while shots on goal were 8 to 1 in favor of UWP. Hawk goalkeeper David Fitzgerald made seven stops in the contest.
George Ashby, Alex Lehmann, and Jake Ellis each recorded a shot for the Hawks.
The Hawks will have their home opener on Sunday, 8/28 when they host Northern Michigan University at Legends Stadium at 12:00 p.m.
