Indianapolis, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced their weekly award winners on Monday, May 2, 2022 for the week of 4/25 through 5/1. The Quincy University pitching staff has won Pitcher of the Week for the 2^nd consecutive week as Spencer Walker's performance on 4/29 in game 1 against Saginaw Valley State garnered him the award.

Walker through a complete game shutout. He struck out 7 Cardinals, while not allowing a walk. He also scattered 7 hits over the nine innings. This was his first complete game shutout of his career. He carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning.

Walker's current ERA sits at 3.06 which is good for the 4^th best in the GLVC.

The last Hawk to win GLVC Pitcher of the Week was Griffin Kirn on April 25^th.
