Quincy, Ill. - The Quincy University men's lacrosse team played against Lewis University on Saturday (Apr.16). The Hawks' offense struggled, losing by a 10-2 final score.
The first goal of the game came after seven minutes into the first period by the Flyers, 1-0. Lewis continued to stretch their lead until the second period when Jayme Brain managed to fit a pass through the Flyers defense, finding John Jennings, who fired Quincy's first goal of the game to make it 3-1. Lewis scored once again to make it 4-1 heading to the second half.Â
Quincy was able to score one more goal in the second half, when Jordan Ernst found the net with a big shot, after Jennings pushed through with the assist. Ryan Riggs accumulated 11 saves in the game.
