Lebanon, Ill. - The Quincy University Women's Lacrosse team took the road trip to McKendree University on Sunday (Apr. 10) afternoon. The Hawks scored five goals in the game and were outscored by the Bearcats by a 16-5 final score.
Quincy scored three times in the first half as Bianca Johnson scored the first goal for the Hawks in the first period to put the score 2-1. The Hawks continued to trail as McKendree scored two more times to stretch their lead to 4-1. Kara Wilhelm with a hard shot to the back of the net put the score 4-2.
With only 14 seconds on the clock to end the second quarter, Johnson with her second goal of the game, gave the Hawks its third goal and headed to the second half with a 9-3 score.
The Hawks were allowed to score two more times in the second half as Patricia Chavira scored her first goal of the game with 11 seconds on the clock to end the third period (13-4).  
Wilhelm with a bullet to the net scored the first goal of the fourth period and the last one for the Hawks.
