SPRINGFIELD, MO---The Quincy University men's basketball team earned its third consecutive win under interim head coach Pat Richardson on Friday (Feb 25) afternoon at Drury. 

Quincy prevailed 83-80, and forced Drury to miss a 3-pointer at the buzzer to seal the deal. Quincy led by 14 points two different times during this game, but Drury made runs both times to come within two possession. 

Quincy withstood the Drury runs and never surrendered the lead the entire game. Paul Zilinksas had 21 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Adam Moore added 16 while Charles Callier had 10 and Mark Bradshaw Jr had 10 points as well. Bradshaw Jr hit clutch shots down the stretch in this game to help the Hawks hold on to the lead when Drury made it close. 

25 combined three pointers were made during this game, while the Hawks shot 44% from three during the contest (12-27). Quincy led 48-36 at halftime, but had to fend off Drury to earn the victory. 

It's the third straight win for Quincy, all of which have been decided by six or less points. 

Its the most wins the Hawks have had since the 2016-17 season when QU went 25-7 and 14-4 in GLVC play.

The Hawks will end the regular season tomorrow (Feb 26) at Southwest Baptist. If Quincy wins and Lindenwood and McKendree lose it would be likely the Hawks host an opening round GLVC tournament game.
