The Trojans were holding steady in the opening stanza as they kept the lead at 10 or less points. To end the opening quarter, Chomp Danzo collected an offensive rebound to give QU an 8 point advantage after 10 minutes of action.
During the 2
nd quarter, the Hawks went on an impressive 27 to 1 run over a seven minute span. That run stretched the lead to a 30 point margin in favor of the Hawks. HLG would get a basket as time was winding down in the half.
Lay-ups by
Cymirah Williams and
Emma Knipe saw the lead get out as large as 32 points within the first minute of the 3
rd quarter.
Grace Flanagan hit back-to-back three pointers in a span of 45 seconds to push the lead to 42 points. In the final minute of the quarter,
Paige Gamble and
Sydney Runsewe hit shots to give the Hawks the 40 plus point advantage with 10 minutes to play.
A mid-range jumper by
Rylee Denbow pushed the Hawks over the 50-point advantage. The Hawks slowed things down in the 4
th quarter as they tried to find open looks.
