QUINCY, Ill. – A late goal by the Truman State Bulldogs to give them the 2-1 win spoiled the Hawks Senior Day.
The Hawks struck first on a corner that saw the ball bounce around in the box.
Macker Little ended up getting his foot on it as he was falling down to give Quincy a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs would return the favor in the 72
nd minute as they got the equalizer off of a corner.
In the 88
th minute, TSU was awarded a free kick and they took full advantage of the moment. Sam Newton played the ball to the back post where he found Luke Payne's head for the win.
Before the game, the men's soccer program recognized and thanked the following seniors for their service and dedication to the program.
