BOLIVER, Mo. – The Hawks got on the board early and controlled the contest from the start to win their first GLVC game of the season by the score of 4-1 over the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats to snap their 7 game losing streak.
In the 2
nd minute,
Ben Scotford found
Jake Ellis driving down the middle of the field for a cross which Ellis headed the ball home to the lower right corner to give QU the 1-0 lead.
Early in the 2
nd half, the Hawks added two quick goals to extend their lead to 3-0.
Alex Lehmann scored his second of the season in the 46
th minute, then
Macker Little scored in the 49
th minute off an assist by
Alex Lehmann.
After SBU scored in the 76
th minute, Little got his 2
nd of the game and team leading 7
th of the season to make it 4-1.
The Hawks will wrap up the regular season on Sunday, October 23
rd in Kansas City against the Rockhurst University Hawks at 2:30 p.m.
