QUINCY, Ill. – The William Jewell Cardinals came from behind twice to defeat the Hawks on Friday, October 14
th at Legends Stadium.
WJC got on the board first in the 13
th minute on a goal by Sam Wambold assisted by Cole Bulgren. The Hawks got the equalizer just three minutes later as
Ben Scotford found
Kamou Harris for his first of the game. Harris got his 2
nd goal two and a half minutes later to give the Hawks the 2-1 lead. This was Harris's first multi-goal game of his career.
The Cardinals were awarded a penalty kick in the 43
rd minute to tie the game after a red card was given to
David Fitzgerald as him and the attacker with one on one. They would take the lead on another PK in the 58
th minute.
The Hawks will host Truman State on Sunday, October 16
th for Senior Day with kickoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
