QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University Football team won 38-17 over Walsh on Saturday (Sept 18) afternoon behind a complete team effort.
The Hawks are averaging more than 40 points per game and welcomed back quarterback
Tionne Harris to the lineup on Saturday afternoon. The St. Louis native threw for 343 yards and four touchdowns after missing last week's game.
Wide receivers
A.J. Hardin and
Eugene Witherspoon combined for 4 touchdowns and over 250 yards receiving. Hardin had himself a day after finishing with seven catches, 188 yards, and two touchdowns. Witherspoon added to his touchdown total after posting a three-catch, 71-yard stat line while adding two more scores. The Florida native now has seven receiving touchdowns in three games.
The defense forced three turnovers in the contest with two fumble recoveries and an interception from
Peyten Chappel, who returned to the field for the first time this season.
