QUINCY, IL – The Quincy University Hawks ended its weekend with a 19-1 win over Truman State to complete the series sweep on Saturday (April 3).
The offense buried the Bulldogs with a seven spot in the first inning. Lance Logsdon had two RBI singles in the frame, along with a two-RBI single by Dayson Croes and a three-run homerun by Nolan Wosman to give QU an 8-0 lead.
Cole Evans expanded the Hawks advantage with a three-run homerun in the second and QU led 10-0.
Another explosive inning occurred in the third when the Hawks went off for eight runs during the inning.
The big inning was highlighted by a Cole Evans RBI single, Croes had a two-RBI double, and Logsdon hit a two-run homerun. QU led 18-0 after the third.
Truman added a run on an RBI double in the fifth inning, but QU still held a commanding lead.
The Hawks outscored Truman 59-11 during the four game series.
