QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's lacrosse team played in their final home game of the 2021 season on Wednesday afternoon (April 21) against McKendree University. The Bearcats took command early and downed the Hawks 24-5.
The Bearcats opened with the first three goals before the Hawks got on the board.
Bianca Johnson gave QU their first goal on a shot two and a half minutes into the game that snuck in between the keepers legs.
Danielle Robinson scored twice in the first half for her 32nd and 33rd goal of the season, but the Hawks trailed 17-3 at halftime.
Heaven-Lee Nichols scored QU's first goal of the second half with a close up shot one-on-one with the goalie, this goal brought the score to 23-4 with 9:30 left to play. Nichols scored less than three minutes later on a feed from
Danielle Robinson to give Quincy their fifth goal of the game, and it was also Nichols' 15th of the season.
This was the home team's final goal of the game as the Hawks fell 24-5.
