ST. LOUIS, MO. – The Quincy University men's lacrosse team outscored the 12th-ranked Maryville Saints 4-3 in the fourth quarter but were unable to complete a comeback in a 15-6 defeat on Saturday afternoon (April 10).
Maryville imposed their will in the first two and a half quarters. The Saints' largest lead came at 12-1 with 4:21 left in the third. The Hawks outscored Maryville 5-3 in the final nineteen minutes after two goals from
Jayme Brain, and a goal each by
Christian Czarny,
Nick Woodworth, and
Preston Willman. Ultimately, QU fell by a final of 15-6 and are still looking for their first program win.
Their next game will be two weeks from now on April 24th against Davenport University at QU Stadium.
