Hawks Shutout at Southern Indiana

EVANSVILLE, IN. – The Quincy University women's soccer team was handed a 3-0 loss on Friday evening (Mar. 12) at the Goebel Soccer Complex against Southern Indiana University.

Quincy outshot USI in the first half with four shots on goal to USI's three. The first break through came at the 20-minute mark as a shot from the Screaming Eagles outside the right box gave them a one-nil early advantage.

Over the next twenty five minutes, QU continued to attack with three more shots with two on goal, but the defense of USI held firm. The Hawks entered the break scoreless, trailing by one.

The USI offense capitalized early in the second half, and it took just one-minute and fourteen seconds to take a two-goal advantage. QU sent just two shots on goal in the final period, and Southern Indiana delivered the final strike in the 55th minute. The Screaming Eagles scored their third goal of the game, and Quincy was unable to match the attack of USI taking a 3-0 loss on the road.
