QUINCY, IL – The Quincy University women's volleyball team jumped to 9^th in the nation in the most recent AVCA DII women's volleyball poll which was released Wednesday (Feb. 10). 
 
The Hawks (3-1) were receiving votes last week and cracked the top ten behind three other GLVC schools this time around. Quincy is second in the GLVC Central Division with a 1-1 record in GLVC play behind the sixth-ranked UMSL Tritons (3-0).  Lewis earned the second overall mark in the poll and received six first place votes, while Rockhurst earned one first place vote while coming in at 5^th in the AVCA ranking.  
 
The 9th-ranked Hawks will have their GLVC home openers this weekend as QU hosts Maryville and Lindenwood. The Hawks will host Maryville on Friday night (Feb.12) at 7:00 PM and then welcome Lindenwood the following evening (Feb. 13) at 7:00 PM in Pepsi Arena.  The Saints are currently last in the GLVC Central Division with an 0-3 record, while the Lions are 1-1 after sweeping Maryville at home last weekend. 
 
Quincy leads the GLVC with 13.87 kills per set, and currently rank fifth in the country in that category. Sophomore Emily Rehagen ranks second in the league with 4.27 kills per set (10th NCAA). Rehagen has notched 64 kills on the season which is 7th in the nation. Junior Mattie Norris is seventh in the GLVC with 3.27 kills per set. Middle Sarah Brown has led QU with a .370 hitting percentage which ranks fifth in the GLVC.
 
The Hawks also rank third in the league with 12.53 assists per set. Setter Makayla Knoblauch is currently third in the GLVC in assists per set and ninth in the nation with 150 total assists. Senior Libero Sarah Blair is third in the league in digs per set with 5.33, and Alaina Rothermich adds in 3.60 digs per set which is 9^th in the GLVC. The Hawks are first in the GLVC with 20.20 digs per set as a team, and 5th in the nation.
