QUINCY, IL----Quincy hosted Ferris State on Friday night (Nov 19) in Pepsi Arena and fell 70-57.
Ferris State led 20-12 after the first and controlled an 18-point lead at 34-16 with 4:16 left in the second quarter.
Quincy trailed 40-27 at halftime, but cut it within 40-33 with 7:44 left in the third quarter after Flanagan hit a three-pointer.
Quincy trailed 57-42 at the end of the third. Ferris extended their lead to 19 points at 63-44 with 7:12 left in the fourth which was their largest of the game.
Quincy outscored Ferris State 15-13 in the final frame as they forced the Bulldogs to make just one of their final 12 3-point attempts.
Marta Rivera led the Hawks with 14 points in 23 minutes while she shot 6 of 10 from the field.
Grace Flanagan added 11 points on 3 of 6 from downtown.
Sarah Nelson led QU with eight rebounds, and
Beth Matas Martin paced QU with six assists. The Hawks had 15 assists compared to 21 turnovers during the game and shot 46% from the field.
