HUNTSVILLE, Al. - The Quincy University men's lacrosse team traveled to the University of Alabama in Huntsville for their first GLVC game in school history on Thursday (Mar. 12). The Hawks got on the board first, but the Chargers came alive down the stretch to defeat QU 18-5.

How It Happened
1st Half
Quincy jumped on the Chargers early in Thursday night's contest. Neal Dardis beat the UAH goalie for his second goal of the season to put the Hawks up 1-0 in the first two minutes.
 
The Chargers shot right back with three straight goals to take their first lead, 3-1.
 
The Hawks were able to stop the bleeding momentarily when Grayson Kuan found Parker Toney who put one in the back of the net. 
 
QU cut the lead to one at 3-2, but UAH rattled off three more goals before the end of the first quarter to extend their lead to 6-2.
 
The Chargers outscored the Hawks 4-2 in the second fifteen minutes to go up 10-4 heading into the locker room.
 
Max Greco and Kuan each tallied goals in the second quarter.
 
Sam Huff recorded eleven saves in the first half, turning away over 50% of the opposing team's shots on goal.
 
2nd Half
The Hawks put seven shots on goal in the final thirty minutes, but Max Greco was the only one to fire one past the last line of the UAH defense for a goal.
 
The Chargers got off 22 shots in the second half and scored eight goals, including one off of a power play.
 
UAH outscored QU 4-0 in the fourth quarter, as the Hawks fell by a final score of 18-5.
