The Hawks got off to a hot start in the opening set. Sarah Brown fired back-to-back kills to get QU on the board first with a 2-0 lead. Quincy's offense continued that trend, as Stephanie Mizeur and Makayla Knoblauch put down two straight kills to give the Hawks their largest lead of the set at 16-9. Huntsville battled back, scoring seven of the next nine points to cut the Hawk lead to two. QU stepped on the gas after that, only allowing three more Charger points the rest of the way. A kill by Mizeur closed out the frame, 25-19.

Quincy trailed 8-4 early in the second before using a 7-0 run to take a three-point lead. Emma Lynch and Lauren Worl combined for three kills in that stretch. The Chargers went on a 4-0 run late in the set to cut it to just one, 22-21. The Hawks were not phased, however, as kills from Rehagen and Brown put QU at set point. An attack error by Huntsville gave Quincy the 25-21 win.

A 5-0 run sparked the Hawks to go ahead 17-11 in the third set and QU did not let up. The Quincy offense was firing on all cylinders, as Worl, Rehagen and Alaina Rothermich hammered home four straight kills to give the Hawks the 25-15 victory and complete the sweep.

UMSL 3, Quincy 0

Quincy started off strong, gaining a 2-0 lead and eventually went ahead 4-1 with a kill from Emily Rehagen. The Tritons won the next three points to tie the score. Stephanie Mizeur put the Hawks up 9-7 with a kill, but UMSL countered with a 5-0 run. Mizeur stopped the bleeding momentarily with another kill, but the undefeated Tritons pulled away. UMSL took the first set 25-16.

The Tritons went up 7-2 in the second set. The Hawks answered with a 3-0 run, sparked by kills from Rehagen and Makayla Knoblauch to cut it to 7-5. QU later got within one, 16-15, after Sarah Brown's third kill of the set. The Tritons won five of the next six points and looked to pull away. The Hawks did not make it easy as Knoblauch ripped a kill to cut the deficit to 23-21. An UMSL kill and a QU attack error allowed the Tritons to take the second set 25-21.

Back-to-back service aces from Rehagen surged the Hawks to a 5-3 lead in the third. Quincy and UMSL went toe-to-toe with seven ties in the set. The Tritons used a 3-0 run to break away from a 10-10 score. QU cut it to one after two kills from Brown, but the UMSL offense grabbed nine of the next 13 points. The Tritons won the third set 25-21 to take a 3-0 victory.
