QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's tennis team faced their second Division 1 opponent of 2019. The Hawks hosted Western Illinois and fell 6-1 on Friday evening (March 1).

The only victory for the Hawks came by default as one of Western's players was injured prior to the contest. Rita Kanaeva, Abby Moore, and Makaela Hampton all fell 6-2. 

In doubles, both of the Quincy pairings fell 6-2 as WIU left with a 6-1 victory over the Hawks. 

Both tennis teams travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina for the USPTR Tennis Fest starting on March 11.
