Play by Play
1st Half

Truman State broke the silence with a 3-pointer with a little over six minutes to play.

Quincy could not find answers from the floor. The Hawks made just two of fourteen shots in the first ten minutes.

Fortunately, Quincy kept themselves in the game with clinching defense of their own. Truman only led 12-5 going to the second quarter.

The pace of play increased in quarter number two. QU got a quick steal by Grace Schraufnagel on the opening possession.

Schraufnagel was unable to convert a jump shot on the other end, but Lexi Doyle corralled the offensive board. Doyle's put back good to get the Hawks' second quarter started.

Quincy cut the Bulldogs' lead to three after a 3-pointer by Maddie Spagnola and a basket from Michaela Gronewold. The score was 15-12 with 6:40 left.

Truman State went on a 7-0 run to gain distance from QU 21-12. Kennedy Prince ended the run with a three with 4:11 to play.

Quincy was able to cut Truman's lead to two after a 7-0 run. Maddie Spagnola, Jessica Merino, and Ella Gobald all scored to make the score 24-22 with under two minutes to play.

At the half, QU trailed 32-25.

2nd Half
Quincy's offensive struggles returned in the third quarter. The Hawks converted on three of thirteen shots. The Bulldogs also hit the glass by out-rebounding QU 12-4.

This allowed Truman State to expand its lead to 50-35 going to the final quarter.

The Bulldogs gained their largest lead with seven minutes to play in the fourth. In three minutes, Truman led 59-37 after a 9-2 run.

Quincy was unable to cut into that deficit and fell 65-46.
