ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Quincy University women's volleyball lost 25-12, 25-11, 25-16 to #5 Lewis University on Saturday afternoon.

In the first set, the Hawks kept it close early. A kill by senior
Stephanie Mizeur brought the score to 9-6 in favor of the Flyers. Later in the set, Lewis scored six straight points to pull away as the score went to 19-8. The Flyers scored the last five points to take set one 25-11.
Quincy fell into an early hole in set two. Lewis jumped out to a 15-3 lead and would go on to take the second set 25-12.
The Hawks came out with more intensity in the third set. Both teams were tied 4-4 after a kill from
Taylor King. Lewis gained some space with a three point run to make the score 7-4. The Hawks scored the next two of three to make it a 8-6 game, but Lewis kept Quincy at bay. QU was unable to chip into the LU lead any further as Lewis went on to take the third set 25-16.
