Cassidy Foley's penalty kick in the 28th minute gave the Hawks a 1-0 win over GLVC opponent Sunday (Sep. 16). Foley's team-leading fourth goal of the season gave the Hawks their first GLVC win of the season.
Play by Play
QU held the possession for a large portion of the first half. The Hawks took several shots in the first 20 minutes of action.
The Hawks persistence on offense paid off in the 28th minute. A pass was sent into the box and
Maddie Bauer gained possession. Bauer was taken down and a penalty kick was awarded to QU.
Senior
Cassidy Foley took the penalty shot and beat the goalie to the far post to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead.
The Hawks defense held firm throughout the first half to maintain the QU lead.
Missouri S&T had a corner kick in the 37th minute but the Hawks cleared the ball out of the box to keep the lead 1-0 heading into the half.
QU's defense continued its strong play as it limited Missouri S&T to three shots in the second half. Only one of these shots were on goal.

Emilee Autry picked up her third shutout of the season.
