KIRKSVILLE, MO. - The Quincy University women's volleyball team lost 25-15, 25-16, 25-19 to Truman State on Saturday afternoon.

Quincy fell behind quickly in the first set. Truman State took control early with a 8-1 lead. The Hawks were able to cut the lead to 11-6, but the Bulldogs made a five point run to extend their lead to 16-6. Quincy was unable to make up ground as Truman took set one.
In the second set, both teams exchanged points early as the score was notched at eight. Truman pulled ahead with a seven point run. Quincy scored the next point on a service error, but the Bulldogs made another run of four straight points to go ahead 19-9. The Hawks cut the score to 22-16 before falling 25-16.
In the third set, Quincy jumped ahead 4-1. Truman bounced back and tied the score at 7-7 after an attack error by QU. The Bulldogs went ahead 10-8 after three straight points, but Quincy responded with three in a row to go back up 11-10.
Truman State pulled away with a seven point run as they went ahead 19-12. QU cut the lead to 22-17 but fell 25-19.
