QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's basketball team fell to the University of Wisconsin Parkside 78-67 Thursday night (Feb. 8).  Wisconsin Parkside shot over 52% from behind the arc in the win.  

Tanner Stuckman knocked down a pair of three-pointers in the early going as the Hawks trailed 9-8.  Marcus Hinton knocked down a pair of free throws and the Hawks took a 10-9 lead with 12:29 remaining in the first half.  

A 6-0 run by Wisconsin Parkside gave the Rangers a 15-10 lead.  The Rangers pushed their lead to as many as 15 with 5:45 remaining in the first half.  

The Hawks cut the lead to eight with 1:23 to play in the first half after a layup by Paulo Camilo.  A pair of late free throw by the Rangers gave Wisconsin Parkside a 10 point lead headed into the half.  

Marcus Hinton cut the lead to eight after he nailed a jumper on the Hawks opening possession of the second half.  

Wisconsin Parkside, led by Adam Bonk's four consecutive three-pointers, pushed their lead to as many as 18 with 11:10 to play in the second half.  

The Hawks scored on back to back possession to cut the lead to 13.  

QU could bring the lead no closer and fell to Wisconsin Parkside 78-67.  

Marcus Hinton led the Hawks with 18 points and nine rebounds.  Demetrius Houston scored 12 points and Bobby Frasco added 11 points.  

QU falls to 7-16 on the year and 3-11 in the GLVC.  

The Hawks return to action Saturday at 3:15 against Truman State in Pepsi Arena.
