CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Quincy University men's basketball team traveled to Division I Southeast Missouri for their second exhibition of the 2018-19 season. The Hawks were defeated by the Redhawks 102-66.
Recap
1st Half
The Hawks scored the opening basket of the game on a three-pointers by
Demetrius Houston. The teams were tied at 5-5 with 17:33 remaining in the first half.
A 9-0 run by SEMO gave the Redhawks a 14-5 lead with 15:31 to play in the opening half.
Trailing 16-7,
Tanner Stuckman drilled a three-pointer to cut the Redhawks lead to 16-10.
Midway through the half, SEMO held a 26-16 lead. The Redhawks opened the scoring, pushing their lead to 44-19 with 4:06 to play in the opening half. A 7-0 run by QU trimmed the lead to 18 with just under three minutes remaining.
The Hawks scored a pair of baskets in the final 15 seconds to head into halftime trailing 53-32.
2nd Half
SEMO continued to pace the scoring as the Hawks tried to cut into the lead.
QU managed to cut the lead to 17 on two separate occasions in the second half but could bring the lead no closer.
The Redhawks would defeat the Hawks 102-66.
Demetrius Houston led the Hawks with 15 points.
Jah-Kobe Womack added 14 points, two rebounds, two assists, and a block.
