Cedarville Powers Past Hawks

Box Score COLUMBUS, Oh. – Cedarville used a strong second half to defeat Quincy 67-40 on the final day of the Crossover Challenge in Columbus, Ohio.  The Yellow Jackets outscored Quincy 42-26 in the second half to secure the win. 

Play by Play
1st Quarter
The Hawks had trouble finding a rhythm at the start of the game. Quincy missed their first three shots, but Cedarville also could not find a basket. 

Quincy got on the board first as Maddie Spagnola knocked down a pair of free throws. At the five minute mark, both teams were notched up at 5-5 after a made free throw by Alexa Low

Cedarville pulled ahead to end the quarter. The Yellow Jackets took a 15-9 lead into the second quarter. 

2nd Quarter
The Hawks struggled offensively in the second quarter. QU only made one field goal and scored five points. 

Cedarville went into the half leading 25-14. 

3rd Quarter
Alexa Low collected a bucket to make the score 30-20 less than four minutes into the second half. 

The Yellow Jackets ended the quarter by outscored Quincy 14-7. Cedarville led 44-27 going into the final quarter. 

4th Quarter
The Yellow Jackets scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to extend their lead to 49-27. 

The Hawks were unable to muster a comeback as they fell 67-40.
