Aubrey Reis Scores Twice in Win Over Drury

Springfield, Mo. – Redshirt sophomore Aubrey Reis continued his scoring tear by netting both goals in a 2-1 victory over Drury on Sunday (Oct. 14). 

Play By Play
Drury was first to find scoring chances in the game. The Panthers had a shot blocked and put another shot on goal in the first three minutes of play. Adam Whybrow made the save to keep it a scoreless game. 

The Hawks had a chance to score in the 12th minute with back-to-back shots. Simon Chretien's shot was blocked, but Cole Hayes gained possession and ripped a shot wide. 

In the 28th minute, the GLVC's leading point scorer put Quincy on the board. Reis took a penalty kick after Drury committed a foul in the box. 

The Panthers were held without a shot for the remainder of the half as QU led 1-0 at the break. 

The QU attack struck early in the second half. Aubrey Reis scored his 15th goal of the season on a chip over the keeper from 8 yards out. The goal was assisted by Kingsford Adjei

Goalkeeper Adam Whybrow was tested again in the 63rd. He turned away a shot by Jamie O'Brien to keep Drury off the board. 

In the 68th minute, Drury broke through. The Panthers scored on a header by Mitchell Vaughn to make the score 2-1. 

Drury continued to have their foot on the gas after the goal. In the final 20 minutes, the Panthers outshot Quincy 5-2. 

Quincy caught a break in the 80th minute. Jamie O'Brien nearly had his second goal of the game, but his shot hit off the cross bar.

The Hawks tightened up defensively and did not allow another shot by Drury. The Hawks held on for the 2-1 victory.
