Quincy Drops Pair of Matches Against Bellarmine

QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's and women's tennis teams hosted Bellarmine University in a non conference match on Friday, Mar. 25th in Quincy, Ill. BU was able to come away with a pair of wins over the host QU. The Lady Hawks fell to the Knights, 6-3, while the men lost, 7-2.

Elizabeth Kuenzi and Rebecca McIsaac teamed up to win the first doubles match 8-5 for the Lady Hawks (9-4). Bellarmine (6-5) came away with the final two doubles matches.

Amy Kuhle battled to a third set to win the number one singles match, 2-6, 7-6 (4-0), 10-8. Kuenzi locked in a 6-3, 6-3 number two singles win for the final win for the Lady Hawks.

The Hawks (4-7) dropped all three doubles matches to the Knights (4-6).

QU picked up a smooth win from Chris Bueler, 6-2, 6-1, in the sixth singles match. Wyatt Pauley earned a 6-3 win in the first set of single match four. Pauley lost set two 7-5, but battled back to win 11-9 in the final set.

The men's and women's tennis teams will travel to Springfield, Ill. on Wednesday, Mar. 30th to play the University of Illinois Springfield.
