Tennis Falls to Emporia State

QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's and women's tennis teams fell to Emporia State University on Saturday, Mar. 19 in their first home match of the spring. ESU earned a 6-1 win on the men's side and a 6-2 win on the women's side.

Danyil Vayser earned the lone win for QU (4-5) on the men's side. Vayser won the first set of number three singles 6-4. The second semester addition won the match with a 7-5 second set.

Patrick Kuhle and Ryan McMillan fell just short of a win in doubles play 9-8 in the first slot.

Amy Kuhle and Anna Konczak picked up a doubles win, 8-4, for the Lady Hawks (8-3) in the third match.

Morgan McGinnis won the fifth singles match 6-1, 6-0 before the cold set in and the snow started to fall in Quincy.

The men's and women's tennis teams will travel to Belleville, Ill. to play McKendree University on Mar. 24 at 3 p.m.
