Edom Matches Threes Record As Hawks Rout HLGU

QUINCY, Ill. – Senior guard Nikia Edom (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East/Murray State) drained eight 3-pointers, tying a school record, to lead the Quincy University women's basketball team to a 90-52 win over Hannibal-LaGrange in nonconference action Tuesday (Dec. 6) night at Pepsi Arena.

The Hawks continued their rout in the second half, going up by 45 points at one point late in the third quarter.

Schumacher finished with 14 points in 10 minutes off the bench for the Hawks, who assisted on 24 of their 33 field goals. Senior forward Cha Cha Williams (Bolingbrook, Ill./Seton Hill) scored 13 points and collected five rebounds. Junior forward Anika Webster (Springfield, Ill.) tacked on 10 points and seven boards.

The Hawks shot 46.5 percent (33-for-71) from the field and held Hannibal-LaGrange to 31.5 percent (17-for-54) shooting. The Hawks held a 52-26 edge on the glass and committed just five turnovers.
