#19 Lady Hawks Road Trip to Two GLVC East Top Teams

QUINCY, Ill. - The No. 19 Quincy University women's basketball embarks on their longest road trip of the season to play the University of Southern Indiana and Bellarmine University for their first back-to-back road games of the season. QU opens with USI in Evansville, Ind. on Thursday (Jan. 14) at 5:15 p.m. before traveling to Louisville, Ky. to take on BU at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday (Jan. 16). Quincy Five Fun Facts
- QU (13-1, 4-1 GLVC) women's basketball has yet to allow an opponent to score 70 points or more in a game this season. The highest point total was Lindenwood with 69 points.

- QU has hit 62-78 free throws in the final five minutes this season. Maggie Cunningham leads the team with a perfect 31-of-31 from the line in crunch time. The Lady Hawks lead the GLVC and rank 13th in NCAA Division II shooting 76.6% from the line this season. Carly Beebe (96.7%) and Maggie Cunningham (92.1%) are first and third respectively in the GLVC from the the foul line this season.

- Quincy has relied on big play from their forwards in GLVC play. In five games, Anika Webster has averaged 11.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Erin Mennemeyer has scored 9.4 points per game and gathered 4.8 boards. Kara Gerbus has chipped in 8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. During GLVC play, the Lady Hawks have outscored opponents by seven points per game and out-rebounded opponents by over six boards per game.

- QU has found success behind the arc this season shooting 40.6% ranking second in the GLVC and fifth in NCAA DII. Nikia Edom ranks fifth in the GLVC shooting 47.2% from three while hitting 1.79 triples per game ranking ninth in the conference. Megan Wienstroer is second on the team with 1.5 3-pointers per game shooting 57.7% from downtown while coming off the bench for Quincy.

- The Lady Hawks' record of 13-1 is the best start by a QU team since 2010-11 when the Lady Hawks went on to go 23-1 before their second loss of the season. The Lady Hawks advanced to the semifinal of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional that season.

- Southern Indiana (10-2, 3-1 GLVC) holds a 6-0 record at home in the Physical Activities Center (The PAC) this season. USI has seen both of their losses on the road this season including one against William Jewell last Saturday (68-65).

- The Screaming Eagles average 71.8 points per game while allowing opponents 55.2 points per game marking them second in the GLVC in scoring defense and scoring margin.

- USI averages 11 steals per game ranking second in the GLVC. Their turnover margin of +4.0 ranks third in the conference.
