QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University tennis teams earned two wins in Godfrey, Ill. on Sunday (Sept. 27). The QU men won 7-2 over Lewis & Clark Community College. The QU women won 7-0 at LCCC.

The QU (2-1) men took five singles and two doubles matches against the Trailblazers. Patrick Kuhle dropped the first set in singles play, 6-3, before winning the next two sets 7-5, 6-4. Michael Lesko took the second singles match 6-1, 6-1. Wyatt Pauley earned a 6-2, 6-4 win in number three singles. Ryan McMillan and Chris Bueler also earned singles wins at the number four and five spots respectively.

Patrick Kuhle and Ryan McMillan won the number one doubles match 9-7. Michael Lesko and Wyatt Pauley locked up an 8-0 doubles win in the number two match.

The QU (4-0) women won all seven matches against the Trailblazers. The Hawks lost a total of eight games in singles and doubles play.

Amy Kuhle, Elizabeth Kuenzi, Morgan McGinnis, and Anna Morrissey are all 4-0 in dual match singles play after wins today. Rebecca McIsaac won the number three singles match 6-1, 6-0.

Morrissey and McGinnis also hold an unblemished, 4-0, record in dual match doubles play this season after an 8-1 win. Elizabeth Kuenzi and Rebecca McIsaac claimed an 8-2 win in number one singles play to clinch the sweep.

The men's tennis team will participate in a tournament at the University of Illinois Springfield on Oct. 9-10 in Springfield, Ill. The women will wait for 2016 to continue their season.
