QUINCY GAME NOTES (PDF)

WEEKLY LOOK-AHEAD:  The Lady Hawks (12-7, 7-4 GLVC) travel to Southern Indiana (16-5, 8-3 GLVC) on Thursday, before heading to Bellarmine (10-9, 5-6 GLVC) on Saturday.  The Lady Hawks are 4-5 on the road, but won four straight road contests before falling to No. 19 Drury on Saturday.

Southern Indiana is coming off of two road wins against McKendree and Illinois Springfield.  Their last two home games were losses to UW-Parkside and No. 1 Lewis.  USI is 9-3 at home this season.  Anna Hackert leads USI averaging 15.1 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per game.  Tanner Marcum is their three-point specialist hitting 29 threes at a 50.9% clip.  Marcum averages 10.8 points per game.

Bellarmine snapped a six-game losing streak this weekend with two road wins.  BU is 4-3 at home this season.  The Knights are led by Destony Curry averaging 10.5 points per game.  Beth Bowers averages 10.1 points per game.  Whitney Hartlage scores 9.8 points per game with 35 three-pointers this season.  Morgan Clemons leads the Knights with 7.0 rebounds per game.  Clemons averages 8.3 points per game.

LAST LOOK AT LAST GAMES:  The Lady Hawks extended their winning streak to seven games before falling to No. 19 Drury on the road Saturday.  QU also had a four-game road winning streak before Saturday.

The Lady Hawks downed the Miners (68-52) with the help of Carly Beebe's season-high 17 points.  Erin Mennemeyer recorded her second double-double of the season with 10 rebounds and 11 points.  Anika Webster and Maggie Cunningham both scored 13 ponts.

No. 19 Drury edged the Lady Hawks (74-55) on Saturday to end the Lady Hawks' seven-game winning streak.  Carly Beebe topped the scoring list again for the Lady Hawks with 15 points.  She was the only QU player in double-figures.  Erin Mennemeyer scored seven points and added seven boards in Springfield, Mo.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Erin Mennemeyer notched her second double-double of the season on Thursday against Missouri S&T.  Mennemeyer grabbed 10 boards and netted 11 points for the Lady Hawks.  The first double-double of her career came against Top-Ranked Lewis (1/2/15) at home this season.  Mennemeyer leads the team with 9.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 15 blocks in GLVC games this season.

FIRING BEEBE'S: Carly Beebe was the Lady Hawks' leading scorer this weekend with a season-high 17 points on Thursday and 15 points on Saturday.  Beebe led the team in scoring in both games.  Beebe was also a perfect four-of-four from three-point land on the weekend.  Beebe has totaled 45 points in the last four games.

TURNOVER BATTLE LEADS TO WINS: The Lady Hawks are a perfect 8-0 when they win the turnover battle this season.  QU has forced more than 20 turnovers four times this season.  Most recently, the Lady Hawks forced 28 turnovers against Missouri S&T.  The most turnovers QU has forced in a game this season is 31 against Avila.

DARTS FROM THREE: Nikia Edom and Carly Bettencourt have been accurate from three this season.  Edom leads the team shooting 46.7% from beyond the arc this season.  Edom ranks fourth in the GLVC.  Carly Bettencourt is firing 45.9% from three ranking fifth in the GLVC and 12th in NCAA Division II.  The duo has combined for 67 three-pointers this season.

DISH IT OUT, BUT DON'T GIVE IT AWAY: Carly Bettencourt and Maggie Cunningham have been in the top-10 of the GLVC all season in assist-to-turnover ratio.  Carly Bettencourt leads the team with a 1.81 ratio.  Bettencourt ranks third in the GLVC and 41st in NCAA Division II.  Cunningham has a 1.45 assist-to-turnover ratio ranking ninth in the GLVC.

TAKE IT TIL YOU MISS: Carly Bettencourt has hovered around 50% from the field this season.  So far this season, Bettencourt is shooting 49.3% from the floor.  Her field goal percentage ranks 15th in the GLVC.

HOT SHOOTING: The Lady Hawks are shooting 44.5% from the field this season ranking second in the GLVC.  Their field goal percentage ranks 27th nationally.  The Lady Hawks' hot shooting extends outside the three-point arc.  QU is shooting 37.9% from three this season rankng third in the GLVC.  The Lady Hawks rank 14th in NCAA Division II three-point field goal percentage.  QU has averaged 72.3 points per game this season adding up to a positive 9.8 point differential.

DIMES FOR DAYS: The Lady Hawks have been dishing out dimes by the dozens lately.  Actually, they are averaging 15.8 assists per game which ranks second in the GLVC.  QU's assist average ranks 34th in NCAA Division II.  Carly Bettencourt leads the Lady Hawks with 4.0 assists per game.  Bettencourt ranks fourth in the GLVC.  Maggie Cunningham dishes out 3.6 assists per contest ranking seventh in the league.

LOSING THE TIP WINS THE GAME: The Lady Hawks have won nine games when losing the opening tip-off this season.  They have lost four games in which they lost the tip.  QU has won the tip six times this season and has won three of those games while losing the other three contests. 

LIGHTING UP THREES: The Lady Hawks average 7.6 threes per game this season ranking second in the GLVC.  QU is tied for 19th in NCAA Division II.  Carly Bettencourt makes 2.0 threes per game.  She ranks eighth in the GLVC.
