The Hawks (9-17, 4-11 GLVC) jumped out to a commanding 9-5 lead in the first set to force a Greyhound (15-9, 12-3 GLVC) timeout early.  UIndy got back to within three points at 18-15, but the Hawks answered with three points to force another Indianapolis timeout.  After an attacking error by UIndy, Bekah Raebel recorded the next three points for the Hawks to win the set 25-18.

The Greyhounds regrouped and jumped out to a 10-7 lead in the second set.  The Hawks would not go away and eventually tied the game at 15-15.  After an Indianapolis point, Briann Joslin and Jessica Licurgo combined for two kills and a block to give the Hawks an 18-16 lead forcing a UIndy timeout.  UIndy battled back to take a 23-22 lead in the second set.  After a Quincy timeout, Bekah Raebel and Emily Lindemulder combined for a block.  Carly Schmitt buried a kill to force another Indianapolis timeout.  Briann Joslin ended the set 25-23 after the UIndy timeout with a kill to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead in the match.

The Hawks hit .349 in the second set with 17 kills.  Both were match highs for the Hawks.

After the break, UIndy jumped out to another early lead at 14-11.  The Hawks scored six of the next seven points to take a 17-15 lead.  Indianapolis took a timeout and followed with three straight points to snatch the lead right back.  The set stayed close and was tied at 22-22 when UIndy scored two points in a row.  The Hawks scored once, but the Greyhounds finished off a 25-23 set win with a kill by Olivia Current.

The Hawks had six attacking errors in the beginning of the fourth set and trailed 11-9 when Head Coach Bob Crank took a timeout.  The timely talk was just what the Hawks needed.  They did not have an attacking error after the stoppage.  The set was tied at 17-17 when the Hawks scored three consecutive points.  QU maintained the three point lead the rest of the set to win 25-22 and take the match 3-1.
