Mason Swisher is in his second aseason on the Hawks coaching staff and will serve as the program's defensive coordinator and
defensive backs coach.
Swisher was in charge of defensive backs and special teams in his first season at Quincy before being named defensive coordinator in 2011.
He previously served as the defensive coordinator at Culver-Stockton College from 2006-09. He has also coached at Sam Houston State University and Benedictine College. Swisher had a prior stint as a coach with the Quincy from 1993-94 as the running backs, punters and kickers coach.
Swisher has been a part of two high school state championship teams and has coached three all-conference punters and two all-conference kickers.
Swisher graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1986 with a B.S. in Nursing and earned his Master of Education in Exercise Science in 1993 from Louisiana State University.
