Tucker Olson

Tucker Olson enters his first season as Quincy University’s Director of Analytics & Player Development, bringing a strong background in baseball operations, statistical analysis, and player development at both the collegiate and professional levels.

Olson most recently worked in Minor League Operations with the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2023–24, where he supported player development initiatives and assisted with organizational analytics across multiple affiliates. During the 2023 season, he spent time in the Dominican Republic with the DSL Pirates Gold squad, helping guide the club to a 41–12 record and an appearance in the Dominican Summer League finals. In 2024, Olson contributed to the success of the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the Pirates’ High-A affiliate, as the team captured the South Atlantic League North Division first-half title, posted a 75–55 overall record, and advanced to the playoffs.

A native of La Grange, Missouri, Olson is a 2023 graduate of Truman State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in statistics. He was also a standout relief pitcher for the Bulldogs from 2019 to 2023, appearing in 58 career games, the third-most appearances in program history, while compiling a 3–3 record across 56.2 innings with 51 strikeouts. His 23 appearances during the 2023 season rank third for a single season in school history.

In his role at Quincy, Olson will focus on integrating analytics into player development, assisting with performance evaluation, and supporting the program’s growth through data-driven decision making.

Olson currently resides in Kirksville, Missouri, with his fiancé and their dog, Ace, and is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
