Gregory Hagan

Gregory Hagan enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Quincy University men's wrestling program in 2026-27.

Hagan comes to Quincy after spending the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach at Menlo College, where he helped guide the program to an MPSF Conference Championship.

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Hagan enjoyed a decorated collegiate wrestling career at Grand View University from 2020-25. He was a four-time NAIA National Finalist, highlighted by capturing an individual NAIA National Championship in 2023. Following his championship season, Hagan was named the 2023 Open Mat NAIA Wrestler of the Year.

Hagan was also a four-time Heart of America Athletic Conference Champion and twice earned Conference Wrestler of the Year honors during his career at Grand View.

Prior to his collegiate career, Hagan established himself as one of the nation's top prep wrestlers. He captured the 2019 USA Wrestling Folkstyle National Championship and was ranked as a top-10 recruit nationally at 220 pounds by FloWrestling. Hagan also finished as an Iowa high school state runner-up in 2018.

Hagan graduated from Grand View University in 2025.

Outside of wrestling, Hagan enjoys powerlifting, yoga, and mixed martial arts. He also enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Kayla, and their rescue golden lab, Ozzy. Hagan is a fan of the Baltimore Ravens, New York Yankees, Toronto Raptors, and Montreal Canadiens.
