Connor McClennen

McClennen enters his second season with the Hawks as a graduate assistant in the spring of 2026. From Rochester Hills, Michigan, he enjoyed a standout playing career as a shortstop at Saginaw Valley State University (DII – GLIAC), where he appeared in 180 games and was a career .305 hitter. As a senior, he hit .333 and posted a .970 fielding percentage while helping the Cardinals win a school-record 41 games and advance to the Midwest Super Regional, just one step shy of the Division II College World Series.

In his first season on staff, McClennen worked with the Hawks’ outfielders, guiding a group that produced two All-Conference honorees, including one with regional recognition. He also assisted with baserunning, where the Hawks saw a dramatic improvement in stolen bases, jumping from 11 in 2024 to 98 in 2025.

Alongside his coaching duties, McClennen is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at Quincy University.
