Cedric Minniefield begins his tenure as the inaugural head coach of the Quincy University women's flag football program in 2027, becoming the first head coach in program history as the Hawks prepare for their inaugural season of competition during the 2027-28 academic year.
Minniefield comes to Quincy after serving as head women's flag football coach and offensive coordinator at Eureka College during the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Prior to his time at Eureka, he spent two seasons as wide receivers coach at Cisco College from 2023-24, where he helped develop four All-Conference wide receivers.
Throughout his coaching career, Minniefield has demonstrated a strong ability to develop student-athletes, coaching five all-conference selections between his stops at Cisco College and Eureka College.
Before entering the collegiate coaching ranks, Minniefield gained experience with the San Francisco 49ers organization, serving as a football operations intern during the team's 2022 training camp.
A native of Ruston, Louisiana, Minniefield earned his degree from the University of Arizona Global Campus in 2016.
Outside of football, Minniefield enjoys traveling, photography, and video games. An avid traveler, he has visited 40 countries. He is also a fan of the Atlanta Braves.
